Dear Baby Girl
Dear Baby Girl,
I can see you smiling from the heaven. I know, you are very excited to come into this world, explore the rainbows and skies and travel across the galaxies. I can see the brightest dreams in your eyes right now. Believe me, this world is even beautiful than your imaginations and you would love everything here.
You might be wondering who I’m. Well, just someone who was once at your place; looking admirely into this world, hoping to get a letter like this from someone but never got one. I’m your future. You are my past.
Acha listen, as much as you want to be in this world and fulfill all your dreams, you need to learn few important things before that. And that’s the reason I’m writing to you. Unfortunately, exploring beauty of this world and life here is like a levelled game. You need to master the rules and never forget one level after you advance to next one.
One of the main rules is that you gotta be yourself. Sounds strange? Like ain’t it obvious? I can ask you to be like someone, tell you about some inspiration, or present some ideal, but how to be yourself? And that’s the point. I can’t tell you this, this is for you to discover with time. It will be difficult to learn this since everything around you will try to impose a filter on you and one of the things that filter will teach you is how not to be yourself. First of all, throw that filter away. Never take any filter from anything or anyone.
At times, you will hear stuff like things don’t go like this. You can’t do this because no one ever did. Because it just never works that way. If you ever encounter them, change the way, change the pattern, change the perspective, change the spectrum. But never change your dreams. Be flexible in ‘how’ but not ‘what’. Try another way if one doesn’t work, take another path, try out a new route but never change the destiny.
I really hope, you don’t get to see the ugly face of society while in the journey of chasing your dreams. But if, by any chance, you go through some storms, never ever let them re-question yourself, the YOU on whom you worked so hard. At that moment, try to imagine your imaginations you are having right now. Often at such times, we forget them, erase them from our minds so much so that they look like an illusion. Please don’t let that happen.
And last but not least, pass the happiness. You know, not every baby girl like you successfully goes through all these stages. Help them level up. Let them know that they can. Ask them if they need help. And next time, when you stare at sky searching for your past, finding some other dreamer’s eyes glowing brighter than stars, remember to send a sweet message too. Let’s nourish the dreams together.
