A Letter to Comsats

2 min readJul 4, 2018

Dear Comsats,

It’s been 4 years, and still it seems like yesterday when I was a nervous shy girl starting my journey with you. It seems unbelievable how much you have taught me, both academically and personally, in such a little time. Now that I’m graduating as a proud comsian, I would like to thank you for all the lifelong lessons, good memories, amazing friends and some very great teachers.

From endless talks in corridors, to almost daily fights in cafe regarding what to order, to those combine study periods in library, each and every corner has got so much special memories with you that it hurts to even realize how much I’m going to miss them.

You have seen me crying because of stupidest reasons and also laugh like idiots on stupid jokes. You have seen my excitement when I got my first job and also my frustration and stress on projects and assignments deadlines. You have also witnessed me and my friends making fun of each other and day-dreaming about future. It almost feels like I’m leaving a part of me here.

From Majeed’s ‘Chicken Achari’ to Taimori’s roll parathas and Lahori’s Sindhi biryani, you know about my love for food more than anyone else. You also know about my passion for chess, for which I’m grateful to you for providing with the ‘chess ground’ which always gives a challenging game. xD

I would also like to thank you for introducing me to many great friends, not only my batch-mates but also many inspirational seniors and sweet juniors who will be missed. There are many teachers, who were more than just lecturers; without their sincere support and motivation I would not have been where I’m today.

Last but not least, You know, I never liked routines; I get bored of things in very short time and like to experience something new and crazy, thanks for helping me experience many such ‘adventures’ and now, after graduating, I’m looking forward to a whole bunch of such opportunities. I can never thank you enough for bringing out the best in me, and helping me reach to this position.

Love,
Hadia
